Chatswood NSW 2067, Australia

The journal will accept only articles which have not been previously published and are not currently being considered for publication by any other journal. Preference will be given to articles presenting research data, either clinical or experimental in nature, but theoretical and review articles are also welcome provided they offer a significant, original contribution. Descriptive articles are only acceptable if the technique or service described is novel and evaluative data should be included. Well documented case studies may be acceptable.

Preparation of Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be typed on A4 size paper, with double spacing and generous margins. Preferably, manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate and authors retain a copy for their own reference. The manuscripts should be in the following form:

1. Cover Page
Title Page containing title of paper; name(s) and address(es); a notation, if applicable, of the scientific meeting at which the paper was presented.

2. Abstract
Abstract of about 150 words. This should indicate the nature of the paper, the main research findings (if any) and conclusions.

3. Text

4. Acknowledgments

5. References
References and citations should be as shown in this issue.

6. Tables and Figures
Tables identified by roman numerals, each table on a separate page.
Legends for figures on a separate page. Figures identified by Arabic numerals.

Figures must be drawn in black ink on white paper, with professional quality lettering. Original drawings or high contrast black and white photographs may be submitted. A set of figures should be provided for each copy, but only one set need to be publication quality. Figures should be suitable for reduction to single column width (65mm), in most instances, or double column width (135mm) if the informational content makes this essential. Lettering, symbols and lines must be large or bold enough to withstand the required reduction. Figures should be compact (no bits, such as legends, hanging off the side of the figure) to avoid unnecessary reduction. Note, many computer generated figures are not satisfactory and may require redrawing, rearranging or additions.

Text should include an indication of approximate placement of tables and figures.

7. Appendices
Appendices may be used if essential. Footnotes are not acceptable.

Prospective authors should request a more detailed "Information for Authors" document from the Editor.
