About Australian Academic Press Journals

Australian Academic Press publishes 16 internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals on behalf of scholarly and professional societies and universities. Our journals are first and foremost available in a high-quality online version with extensive searching, indexing, cross referencing, and library usage analysis functionality. Complimentary print copies are available for some titles, although increasingly we are moving toward online-only continuous issues ensuring that the definitely accurate copy-edited and proof-read version of each research article is available to the worldwide research community within weeks of a successful peer review. Several titles feature open access to all content more than a year old. Our journals are designed to provide readers not only with research outcomes but also education and practice information to promote both the science and the profession behind the journal. All Australian Academic Press journals proudly showcase Australian and New Zealand content alongside international contributions. Australian Academic Press adheres to the Open Access (OA) “Green Standard” for author self-archiving which allows journal authors who have published in an Australian Academic Press journal to post the peer-reviewed version of their article prior to typesetting on an online archive, repository, or website.

Our subscription rates are intentionally priced low (averaging < US$70 per issue) to ensure affordabalilty and sustainability and our titles are also available via popular library databases thus optimising both scientific and public access. All Australian Academic Press journals participate in the WHO Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative
and are archived for post-cancellatian access in the PORTICO repository. Active cross-publisher reference linking from unique DOIs is provided by our membership of CrossRef.
