Cambridge University Press Publishing Licence Agreement


IMPORTANT INFORMATION. TO SUCCESSFULLY SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE ONLINE YOU MUST READ THIS CAREFULLY AND INDICATE YOUR AGREEMENT BY CLICKING THE BOX ON THE MAIN SUBMISSION PAGE AS INDICATED.

In submitting your article (hereinafter referred to as the "Work") to an Cambridge University Press journal you agree to the following terms and conditions.
  1. The Work has not been published previously elsewhere.
  2. You are the owner or co-owner of copyright in the Work.
  3. The Work is an original work and does not breach the intellectual property rights of any third party, and is not defamatory, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful.
  4. You are empowered to agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of all copyright owners of the Work and will indemnify Australian Academic Press against any loss, injury or damage (including any legal costs or expenses properly incurred) occasioned to or incurred by Australian Academic Press in any breach by yourself or your co-authors of these terms.
  5. Upon acceptance of the work for publication you shall permit specified uses of that work in the form of licences to Cambridge University Press for the permanent non-exclusive right throughout the world to publish the Work and the right to license others to do so, the permanent non-exclusive right throughout the world to communicate the Work to the public via online availability or electronic transmission and the right to license others to do so, and the permanent exclusive right throughout the world to produce visually perceivable facsimile copies of the published edition of the Work via either mechanical or digital or other means and the right to license others to do so.
  6. If you are a registered member of the Copyright Agency Limited (hereafter called CAL) you agree that having licensed reprographic rights in the Work to Australian Academic Press you are no longer due any monies derived from any revenues collected by CAL for the facsimile reproduction of the Work whether by either mechanical or digital means.
  7. You may be required to complete a signed and printed copyright agreement for the Work to allow the transfer of further rights and licences if so requested by the editor of the publication to which you are submitting the Work.
